Below find descriptions of each of our classes.
YOGA BASICS - Learn the fundamentals of the yoga postures in a supportive environment. We will focus on good alignment and breath awareness within the postures and how to “start from where you are”. This class will allow for a deeper knowledge of the foundation of the yoga practice and will prepare you for other led classes. Levels range 1-2.
GENTLE STRETCH - Exactly as it sounds! An all level class designed to foster calmness through gentle movement and gentle breath work. Most poses will be ground poses focusing on stretching the body/spine in all directions. Perfect for beginners and any practitioner looking to slow things down and restore.
HATHA FUSION - Ha translating to ‘solar’ and Tha translating to ‘lunar’ Hatha yoga is a practice to bring balance between the two major energy players in the body. Traditionally, Hatha poses are held for longer amounts of time to find alignment and depth, building both physical and mental strength. Hatha fusion builds on the principles of Hatha while weaving in a mild flow through sun salutations. Levels 1-2
EARLY FLOW - Within the vinyasa flow class you set your intention for the day. Linking the body movement with the breath, we flow into a sequence of postures and use transition to move with grace and awareness into sustained postures. A short meditation follows savasana. Levels range from 1-3.
FLOW - A quicker paced, heat building sequence that aligns movement and breath for a greater sense of presence, awareness and connection. In each class we'll explore a theme rooted in yogic philosophy aimed to increase our understanding of this ancient practice. Through exploration of intermediate postures, breath-work and philosophy Vinyasa Flow increases strength, flexibility and breath control with an opportunity to dive deeper into your true potential.
Meditative Movement through YIN - This class is a meditative approach to connecting breath with slow and intentional movement through a yin practice. Part of the practice includes holding postures for a few minutes while using the breath to help keep you present. This practice promotes body and breath awareness, increased flexibility and stress reduction.
VINYASA FLOW - Within the vinyasa flow class you set your intention for the day. Linking the body movement with the breath, we flow into a sequence of postures and use transition to move with grace and awareness into sustained postures. A short meditation follows savasana. Levels range from 1-2.
HATHA FLOW - Level 1/2 Hatha Flow. This class challenges you in bringing your inner strength to the mat. This practice includes flow, inversions, core strength and will help strengthen the body, calm the mind and open the heart.
POWER VINYASA - This challenging flow allows for a greater awareness to the connection of breath and movement. Within the flow of the practice, we work to align the postures and cultivate a focus on our breath that ultimately leads to strength, flexibility, and balance as we detox the body and quiet the mind. The room is warm and the flow is deep. Levels range from 2 and Level 2-3.
KUNDALINI - This particular style of Kundalini was designed by my guru Yogrishi Vishvketu. Kundalini, roughly translating to ‘coiled’, is an ancient yogic science and technology that focuses on the activation and direction of the vital life force or Kundalini energy located at the base of the spine. Through specific breathwork of Agniprasana ‘breath of fire’, kriyas ‘cleansing techniques’, bandhas ‘energy locks’, and mantra we work to balance the chakras and purify the energy channels in the body creating a conduit for the Kundalini energy to rise. The awakening of this energy breathes into us rejuvenation, creativity, self-healing and a conscious connection. The potential of this energy exists deep within every human being.
